The lineup for the 2026 Randox Grand National at Aintree has been finalized with a full slate of 34 horses, the maximum allowed for the prestigious £1 million race set to take place on Saturday and broadcast live on ITV.
Leading the pack is I Am Maximus, owned by JP McManus and trained by Willie Mullins, the victor of the 2024 edition and runner-up last year. I Am Maximus will face off against stablemate Nick Rockett, who secured a notable Mullins 1-2-3 finish alongside Grangeclare West.
Willie Mullins, aiming for a historic fourth Grand National win, has all nine of his horses declared for the race, including a surprise entry of Spillane’s Tower. Jockeys Paul Townend and Patrick Mullins are set to ride I Am Maximus and Nick Rockett, respectively.
Other notable contenders in the lineup include Grangeclare West, Panic Attack trained by Dan Skelton, and last year’s fourth-placer Iroko and Jagwar, both owned by McManus and trained by Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero.
The excitement is building for the showdown on April 11, 2026, at Aintree, where the world will witness top-class horse racing action during the iconic Grand National festival. Fans are eagerly anticipating the event, with expert tips and insights available to enhance the experience.
