Icy conditions have led to the temporary closure of airports in various parts of Europe, causing disruptions to several flights.

Airports in Budapest, Hungary, Bratislava, Slovakia, and Vienna, Austria, were briefly shut down on Tuesday morning due to severe freezing weather conditions.

Budapest Airport announced the suspension of flight operations from 10.25 am local time (9.25 am GMT) due to the presence of black ice, as stated on their Facebook page.

Prague’s international airport also declared limited operations, citing intense freezing rain that required restrictions on arrivals for de-icing of runways, taxiways, and aircraft stands. These restrictions are expected to result in flight delays throughout the day.
