Jack Whitehall’s wedding venue, Euridge Manor in Wiltshire, has shut down shortly after his marriage to model Roxy Horner. The lavish estate, where the couple exchanged vows, hosted a star-studded guest list, including Jamie and Frida Redknapp, Douglas Booth, David Garner, and Gabe Turner. However, the estate’s operations have been halted.
Local residents have long been discontented with the noise generated by events at Euridge Manor, which spans 450 acres and hosts various private celebrations. In response to complaints, Wiltshire Council imposed strict noise reduction measures on the property. Despite efforts by Euridge Manor Weddings to challenge the council’s regulations, an appeal to the government’s Planning Inspectorate was unsuccessful.
Proposals to mitigate noise disturbances, such as prohibiting outdoor performances with brass instruments and drums, were rejected by the Planning Inspectorate. Consequently, the Inspectorate ordered the estate to cease activities by May 17. Residents have expressed relief at the decision, citing disruptive noise levels caused by events at the manor.
Deputy Leader of Wiltshire Council, Councillor Mel Jacob, emphasized the council’s commitment to safeguarding communities and ensuring responsible commercial operations. The council stands firm on enforcing noise management protocols to protect rural residents from excessive disturbances. Despite the ongoing legal process, Euridge Manor faces the prospect of closure within a month.
