Canadian actor and comedian Jim Carrey has recently married Min Ah, his partner whom he publicly introduced in February. During his acceptance speech at the César Film Awards in Paris, France, Carrey referred to Min Ah as his “sublime companion,” expressing his love for her in French and describing her as an angel. Known for his efforts to maintain privacy, Carrey, 64, has kept details about his new wife relatively scarce. Reports from Hello! magazine reveal that Min Ah is 32 years old, exactly half Carrey’s age.
It seems that the couple has been in a relationship for several years, as photos published by Just Jared in 2022 showed them leaving a benefit show together. The intimate wedding ceremony took place in Los Angeles, confirmed by TMZ, with Carrey’s representative informing CBC News about the actor’s marital status without further elaboration.
This marks Carrey’s third marriage. His previous marriages include one to Melissa Womer from 1987 to 1993, with whom he shares a daughter, Jane Erin Carrey. Additionally, Carrey tied the knot with his Dumb and Dumber co-star Lauren Holly in 1996, but the marriage ended in divorce shortly after. Carrey also had a relationship with Renee Zellweger after starring alongside her in Me, Myself, and Irene in 1999. Despite their breakup in 2000, Carrey referred to Zellweger as his “last great love” in his book Memoirs and Misinformation. Furthermore, Carrey was in a long-term relationship with U.S. actor and model Jenny McCarthy from 2005 to 2010.
