Julia Bradbury Considers Relocation Post-Cancer

Published on

Former Countryfile host, Julia Bradbury, has shared her contemplation of a potential relocation with her family after battling breast cancer in 2021. The 51-year-old underwent surgery to remove a 6cm tumor, prompting a significant lifestyle shift focused on health and well-being.

In an interview with Woman’s Weekly Magazine, Julia emphasized the importance of regular health check-ups, quality sleep, low inflammation, and physical strength as key elements of her improved health and fitness regimen since her diagnosis.

Her health transformation includes cutting out sugar from her diet, opting for protein-rich breakfast choices over sugary cereals, and drastically reducing alcohol intake due to cancer recurrence concerns. Despite returning to television with her latest show, Julia Bradbury’s Wonders of the Frozen South on ITV, she is contemplating a potential life change.

Having lived in Rutland for years, Julia currently resides in Notting Hill, West London, with her partner, Gerard Cunningham, and their three children. Desiring a more nature-focused upbringing for her kids, she questions whether London’s urban environment is conducive to their well-being.

Acknowledging the benefits of outdoor activities, Julia shared her efforts to engage her children in nature-based games, highlighting the importance of spending time outdoors for overall health. While London suits her family’s current circumstances, she reflects on the peaceful countryside of Rutland where she grew up.

In her latest ITV series, Julia explores the rugged landscapes of the South Atlantic and Antarctica, immersing herself in the Falkland Islands’ natural beauty and unique experiences. From engaging in sheep farming to encountering massive icebergs, Julia delves into the wonders of the Frozen South.

Don’t miss Julia Bradbury’s Wonders of the Frozen South airing today at 12.45pm on ITV and ITVX.
