YouTube sensation KSI has stirred controversy with a recent remark concerning expectant mothers. The 32-year-old judge on Britain’s Got Talent, who commands a massive social media following, made the controversial ‘joke’ in a resurfaced video that has garnered over 15 million views.

In the now-deleted clip, KSI engaged in a conversation with his mother about his personal life, during which she advised him, as he prepared for BGT’s live semi-final, to always use protection. In response, he humorously stated, “If she gets pregnant I’ll just punch the baby,” prompting a disapproving reaction from his mother.

Advocates against abuse expressed outrage over the insensitive comments, with Veronica Oakeshott from the Women’s Aid charity condemning the remarks as unacceptable and potentially trivializing the seriousness of domestic violence, particularly towards pregnant women.

Despite the backlash, a close source to KSI revealed that he deeply regrets his inappropriate comment and acknowledges its insensitivity. The source emphasized KSI’s growth and maturity over the years and stated that his past remarks do not align with his current values.

This incident is not the first time KSI, also known as Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, has faced criticism. In 2023, he apologized for using a racial slur against individuals of South Asian descent. The social media personality, with an estimated net worth of approximately £80 million, made headlines recently for acquiring a 20% stake in Dagenham & Redbridge, a club competing in the National League South.
