Community members in Riverhead, Newfoundland and Labrador, are thrilled following a substantial donation made by a local businessman and former resident to the volunteer fire department. Trent Comerford, owner of T&K Services, expressed his pride in giving back to his childhood community by donating 20 new bunker suits worth $100,000 to the Riverhead Volunteer Fire Department. The community gathered for a celebratory event on Thursday evening to mark the occasion.

Former Chief Don Boyles highlighted the importance of the donation, mentioning that the department’s old suits were no longer usable. Firefighter Earle Kielly shared his excitement about the new suits, emphasizing their lighter weight and improved comfort, which has boosted morale among the team.
