Police are in pursuit of a man connected to a shooting incident three months ago and are advising the public not to approach him as they consider him to be ‘armed and dangerous’.

In another development, an individual has been charged in connection with the death of a police officer during a raid in Toronto, Canada.

Zara Jabbi, aged 19, is being sought in relation to a shooting at the US Consulate that occurred in March. Officials have cautioned that he is to be considered armed and dangerous.

Authorities have emphasized, “If you spot him, do not approach. Immediately call 911.” A photo of the 19-year-old has been circulated to aid in his apprehension.

With just hours left before Toronto hosts its first FIFA World Cup match, fans from around the world have flocked to cities across Canada, as well as co-hosts Mexico and the US.

The city is gearing up for its inaugural World Cup match on Friday, June 12, when Canada faces Bosnia and Herzegovina at Toronto Stadium.

Following the tragic loss of Constable Marc Pinizzotto, officers have expressed appreciation to the public.

Constable Pinizzotto was fatally injured while on duty on Thursday, June 11.

The officer was shot during the execution of a high-risk search warrant as part of a coordinated operation involving five simultaneous warrants. Another suspect was also shot by police during the confrontation and is currently hospitalized.

Nicholas Bennett, a 19-year-old from Toronto, is facing a First Degree Murder charge in connection with Constable Pinizzotto’s death.

Authorities have confirmed that Jabbi is still on the run.

Jabbi is wanted in connection with the March incident at the US Consulate.

“We understand there are numerous inquiries. Given the ongoing investigation, there are constraints on the information we can disclose at this time. We will provide further updates when possible,” stated the police.
