In an Instagram story posted on Monday night, Maya, who is romantically involved with Man City footballer Reuben Dias, shared her journey to South Africa, expressing hopes that the warm weather and Vitamin C intake would help combat her illness. Despite missing the launch event, ITV executives praised Maya, citing her as the ideal host for Love Island due to her cool, fun, and energetic persona that resonates well with the audience.
