Published on

Miriam Margolyes, known for her diverse career in entertainment, recently won a BAFTA for her role in a major drama, voiced an erotic audiobook, and portrayed the Cadbury’s Caramel bunny. In 2002, the late Queen Elizabeth II awarded her the Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) honor at Buckingham Palace for her contributions to drama.

Famous for her outspoken nature, Miriam made waves by being the first to use a profanity on British television back in 1963. She has always been candid, even sharing stories of her family’s casual attitude towards bodily functions during a podcast interview.

Despite facing health issues like spinal stenosis and osteoarthritis, the 84-year-old actress remains active in her career. Her recent project, “Friend of Dorothy,” received an Academy Award nomination. Miriam also continues to explore her Jewish heritage by abstaining from pork products due to religious beliefs.

Miriam, who underwent heart surgery in 2023, opted for a cow’s heart valve over a pig’s due to her religious restrictions. Despite her health challenges, she maintains a busy professional life and even creates personalized videos on the Cameo platform. She humorously shared about some unusual requests she receives, showcasing her witty and unapologetic personality.
