Five individuals have been swiftly transported to medical facilities following a significant emergency situation at a bustling retail park in North Wales. The Mostyn Champneys retail park in Llandudno witnessed the arrival of numerous police cars, ambulances, rapid response units, and two air ambulances.
Authorities set up a police cordon outside the McDonald’s establishment within the area as emergency teams inundated the scene. The Welsh Ambulance Service later confirmed that five casualties were attended to on-site and subsequently taken to a hospital for further care.
A representative from the ambulance service stated, “We received a call at 10:52 today regarding an incident at Mostyn Champneys Retail Park, Llandudno. Our response included a Cymru High Acuity Response Unit, a Duty Operations Manager, and three emergency ambulances.”
“Critical care support was provided by the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service using two Wales Air Ambulance charity helicopters. The patients were then transported by road to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd hospital.”
North Wales Police verified that the incident was a “multi-vehicle collision.” A spokesperson mentioned, “We are seeking witnesses following a road traffic collision at Mostyn Champneys, Llandudno today (18/07/2026).”
“Multiple reports came in shortly after 10:50 am concerning a multi-vehicle collision involving several pedestrians. The driver of one vehicle and several pedestrians were taken to the hospital for further evaluation.”
