A significant blaze has erupted at another popular location in the UK, prompting authorities to advise the public to steer clear of the vicinity. Eight fire trucks were dispatched to the Barr Beacon nature reserve in Great Barr, Walsall, to combat the fire today. Police officers were stationed at three entrances to the reserve as smoke rose into the sky.

West Midlands Fire Service released a statement this afternoon stating that eight crews were on site at Barr Beacon, Great Barr, responding to a large grassland fire. They urged people to avoid the area if possible.

Beacon Road was shut down in both directions due to the fire, stretching between B4151 Beacon Hill and Bridle Lane, as reported by BirminghamLive. Barr Beacon, known as one of the highest points in the West Midlands, offers breathtaking views of Birmingham.

In addition to the Barr Beacon incident, the fire service confirmed another grassland fire at Perry Avenue. Six crews were dispatched to Perry Hall Playing Fields where people were once again advised to stay away from the area.

Meanwhile, a third fire is raging at Kingfisher Park in Hay Mills, east Birmingham, with visible plumes of smoke and intense flames. This particular incident is believed to have started at around 4pm.

Numerous open fires have ignited across the UK in recent weeks due to prolonged high temperatures and minimal rainfall. The Government placed seven regions in England, including London, East Anglia, Hertfordshire, and the West Midlands, under drought conditions. The entirety of Wales is also facing drought.
