The brother of NBC Today Show anchor Savannah Guthrie has made a direct appeal to the individuals who abducted their mother. The search for their 84-year-old mother, Nancy, has entered its fifth day, and the initial ransom deadline has already passed. Camron urged those holding Nancy to contact the family with any details about her well-being. Nancy disappeared from her Tucson, Arizona home on February 1 after missing church and being last seen at home at 9:48 pm. Her doorbell camera was disconnected at 1:47 am on Sunday.
The FBI has announced a $50,000 reward for information on Nancy’s whereabouts. In a message posted on Savannah’s Instagram page, Camron requested communication from the abductors to confirm Nancy’s safety. A ransom note demanding millions in Bitcoin was sent to TMZ, with specific financial requests and details about Nancy. Law enforcement is taking the note seriously but has not verified its authenticity.
During a press conference, FBI Special Agent Heith Janke revealed the substantial reward for information on Nancy and collaboration with local authorities. The FBI is actively analyzing digital sources for leads and urged the kidnappers to cooperate before the situation escalates. No suspects have been identified in the case, but Sheriff Chris Nanons confirmed that the blood found outside Nancy’s home belonged to her.
