Niall Horan recently shared his feelings about the passing of Liam Payne, expressing a mix of sadness and laughter when reminiscing about their time together. Liam tragically passed away at the age of 31 in October 2024 after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Before Liam’s untimely death, he and Niall spent time together at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires, where Niall had a sold-out performance. The two friends also met earlier at the hotel, as Niall revealed.
Niall and Liam first met on The X Factor in 2010, where they, along with Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, and Zayn Malik, were brought together by Nicole Scherzinger to form One Direction. Despite facing elimination from the competition, the group went on to achieve immense success before disbanding in 2016.
Reflecting on Liam’s passing, Niall mentioned that he cherishes the happy memories they shared. He recalled moments of joy and laughter, particularly during their time in Australia, where they had fun at the beach. Niall emphasized the bittersweet nature of his grief for Liam.
