An individual known for both athletic prowess and a substantial online following has avoided imprisonment after admitting to creating and possessing close to 3,000 illicit images depicting child sexual abuse. Callum Powell, a Parkour enthusiast who rose to fame through his involvement with the well-known group STORROR, faced legal consequences for his possession of disturbing content involving children as young as six. Despite his successful career in Parkour, which included work on major film productions and the publication of a book in 2026, Powell was expelled from STORROR following his arrest and subsequent guilty plea.
Authorities uncovered the illegal images during a search of Powell’s residence in June 2025, prompted by data alerts linked to his Google account. The investigation revealed a significant number of illicit files on various electronic devices, including Category A images, the most severe classification for such material. In court, it was clarified that these images are categorized based on the severity of the depicted sexual abuse of children, with Powell found in possession of images falling into all three categories.
Despite initially denying any intentional involvement in seeking out such content, Powell eventually admitted to deriving sexual gratification from the illicit images. This admission led to his guilty plea and subsequent sentencing, which included a one-year suspended prison term, mandatory registration on the Sex Offenders Register for a decade, and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order lasting five years. Additionally, the court ordered the forfeiture of devices where the illegal images were discovered, along with financial penalties and rehabilitation requirements for Powell.
Following Powell’s guilty plea, STORROR swiftly cut ties with him, denouncing his actions as a betrayal of trust. The group expressed regret for the harm caused and emphasized their commitment to supporting and inspiring young individuals. Parkour UK, a separate entity from which Powell is unaffiliated, also condemned his actions and reiterated their dedication to safeguarding efforts within the sport.
STORROR, founded by a group of individuals including Powell, has evolved over the years into a renowned brand in the parkour community. While the fallout from Powell’s case continues to unfold, the collective remains focused on their mission to inspire and uplift audiences worldwide.
