Around 200 young individuals caused a significant disturbance at Bluewater Shopping Centre, leading to the arrest of three boys. Police rushed to the Kent shopping hub, urging the large crowds to disperse due to disruptive behavior at the food court.

Two 16-year-old boys from London were apprehended on suspicion of public nuisance, while another 16-year-old from London was taken into custody for common assault. Kent Police confirmed that the boys are currently under investigation.

Following the incident, Kent Police implemented a dispersal order, granting officers the authority to clear the shopping center within two hours of the initial incident at 3pm on Monday. The police reminded students starting their summer break to avoid engaging in such activities to prevent potential criminal repercussions.

Dispersal orders empower law enforcement to remove individuals causing trouble in specific areas and allow for the arrest of those who return after being dispersed. Chief Inspector Sarah Rivett of Dartford emphasized the readiness of the police force to address any antisocial behavior incidents as summer approaches and holidays begin.

Bluewater, a prominent retail and leisure destination in the UK, boasts over 300 stores, 50 dining establishments, and 13,000 parking spaces since its opening in 1999.
