Over 1,300 individuals have sought financial reparations, with a significant backlog in processing applications for discharge and impact payments. Lord Cashman, known for his pioneering role in featuring the first same-sex kiss on British television, presented Lord Etherton’s lecture at an event hosted by actor Russell Tovey, attended by Lord Etherton’s spouse, Andrew.

Peter Gibson, CEO of Fighting With Pride, emphasized the urgency of expedited reparations for veterans who endured suffering under the discriminatory policy.
