The White House has released the results of President Donald Trump’s recent health assessment following speculation about his well-being. Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, published a summary of the president’s latest medical report, declaring the 79-year-old to be in “excellent health” and “fully fit.” This report came after Trump’s fourth publicly disclosed medical evaluation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center since his return to office, with him approaching his 80th birthday next month.
According to Barbabella, President Trump exhibits robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical functions, maintaining excellent cognitive and physical performance. The physician highlighted Trump’s demanding daily schedule, which includes high-level meetings, public engagements, and regular physical activity, as contributing to his well-being. Barbabella affirmed that Trump is fully capable of carrying out all duties as Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.
During his recent physical exam, Trump’s weight was recorded at 238 pounds, up from 224 pounds during his annual visit in April 2025. Concerns about Trump’s health have centered on various issues, including bruising on the back of his hands, attributed by the White House to frequent handshaking and aspirin use for cardiovascular prevention.
Additionally, Trump achieved a perfect score of 30 out of 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a standard test for detecting memory and cognitive issues. Notably, Trump underwent two visits to Walter Reed in 2025, compared to the usual annual visit for presidents, with one visit initially reported as for an MRI but later revealed to be for a CT scan.
