Epstein documents related to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor have been mysteriously edited after recent revelations about the former Prince. In the latest batch of 3.5 million documents released by the US Department of Justice, Andrew has been featured and referenced multiple times. While these documents do not suggest any wrongdoing on Andrew’s part, as he has consistently denied any involvement, the emails have caused embarrassment for the royal family. They reveal Andrew’s efforts to arrange meetings for Epstein and include photos of him with redacted individuals.
Following the public scrutiny of the Epstein documents, numerous files mentioning him have undergone alterations. Journalists identified the former Duke by searching for his previous email address, which starts with “tdoy” for “The Duke of York.” Previously, this search would yield almost 100 emails related to Andrew, with only partial redactions. However, the email address has now been fully redacted, making it harder to review documents involving him.
These revelations have intensified criticism over the handling of the documents post-release, with survivors and US politicians condemning the extensive redactions by the DOJ. Initial concerns arose when victims’ identities were not properly redacted in some instances, prompting backlash. One survivor, Jess Michaels, accused the redactions related to Andrew of obstructing justice and covering up crimes.
Despite efforts for transparency, the DOJ, led by Attorney General Pam Bondi, faces ongoing scrutiny over its handling of the files. Calls are growing for the complete release of the files without redacting the identities of alleged perpetrators. Survivors have also raised concerns about emails failing to redact the identities of individuals victimized by Epstein, including sensitive information like email addresses and nude photos.
The push for more transparency in releasing the documents without redactions has gained momentum, with advocates calling for a more open approach to addressing the information contained within the files.
