The 81-year-old musician had to cancel his show in California on Saturday because of an upper respiratory infection causing laryngitis. Despite his health setback, he was later seen at the Scotland vs. Haiti match alongside his sons.
Sharing his excitement on Instagram, Rod Stewart mentioned flying with his sons to witness Scotland’s World Cup game after 28 years. Expressing his passion for the sport, he revealed his desire to see Scotland progress in the tournament. Accompanied by his sons, he passionately cheered for Scotland, chanting “No Scotland no party!”
In attendance with Rod were prominent figures like Scotland’s First Minister John Swinney, actor Gerard Butler, and singer Clare Grogan. The Scottish team managed to secure a 1-0 victory against Haiti, marking their first World Cup win in 36 years and topping Group C.
Although Rod Stewart hails from London, he holds a deep connection to Scotland through his father’s heritage and his love for Celtic FC. Known for his strong Scottish ties, Rod proudly supports Scotland in international competitions.
