Meghan Markle shared insights into her approach to teaching valuable life lessons to her children, Archie and Lilibet, through one of their favorite activities.
In a candid conversation on the Aspire by Emma Grede podcast last year, the Duchess of Sussex discussed her children and their daily life, offering rare glimpses into their family dynamics in California.
When asked by host Emma about introducing the topic of money to her kids, Meghan revealed a unique approach the family takes at their Montecito residence. She mentioned setting up a farmer’s market stall occasionally, where Archie and Lilibet can sell their home-grown produce to neighbors. Meghan emphasized the importance of gardening for children, highlighting its role in teaching patience, appreciation for food, and the value of starting from seeds and witnessing growth.
Furthermore, Meghan disclosed that once their vegetable garden yields results, Archie and Lilibet earn pocket money by selling their harvest. She underlined the significance of understanding the cost and value of things, especially for privileged children, stressing the importance of instilling such values early on.
During the podcast, Meghan subtly addressed the challenges of her public narrative, drawing comparisons between her previous life as an actress and her current status. In response to a question about rewriting her public narrative, Meghan expressed a desire for truthfulness in storytelling.
