Russia has issued a direct threat to target locations in the UK. The defense ministry led by Vladimir Putin has identified alleged production sites in London, Leicester, and Suffolk that it claims supply military equipment to Ukrainian armed forces targeting Russian territory. This action is seen as potentially dragging European countries into conflict with Russia.
Dmitry Medvedev, a senior Kremlin official and former Russian president, emphasized the seriousness of the threat, advising Western leaders to take it literally. He serves as Putin’s deputy on the Russian Security Council. Medvedev warned that the European facilities producing drones and other equipment could become targets for Russian armed forces, depending on future developments.
Among the identified locations is Fire Point, purported to be a Ukrainian missile maker in Mildenhall, Suffolk, which coincides with a RAF base serving as a key US air force hub. Alleged addresses in London and Leicester were also disclosed. The Russian defense ministry attributed the increased production and supply of drones to Ukraine to the leadership of several European countries, aiming to support strikes on Russian territory.
The ministry expressed concern over the escalating military-political situation in Europe and the countries potentially becoming Ukraine’s strategic rear area due to the increased UAV production. It warned of possible terrorist attacks against Russia with unpredictable consequences. Additionally, the Russian defense ministry listed alleged production facilities in various European countries and Israel.
Russian propagandist Vladimir Kornilov praised the Russian Ministry of Defence’s warning as significant and long overdue.
