“Stephen Bear Admits Breaching Sex Offenders Register”

Published on

Former Celebrity Big Brother contestant Stephen Bear has confessed to breaching his obligations under the sex offenders register by not disclosing his trip to Brazil to the authorities.

The 36-year-old was previously convicted and sentenced in 2023 for sharing a private intimate video of Georgia Harrison on OnlyFans, leading to his registration as a sex offender.

Appearing at Thames Magistrates Court alongside his partner Miami, Bear pleaded guilty to five charges of failing to adhere to the sex offenders register notification requirements. He resides in Walthamstow, London.

Bear neglected to inform the police about his visit to Brazil and failed to report his return to the UK within the mandated three-day period. Additionally, he did not disclose his possession of a new passport and two bank cards obtained during his time in Brazil.

The sentencing for breaching a restraining order, which is unrelated to the current court proceedings, was adjourned to Thursday at Chelmsford Crown Court.

After the hearing, Bear, known for his appearances on Celebs Go Dating and The Challenge, expressed gratitude, giving a thumbs-up and a praying gesture.

In his defense, Bear’s lawyer, Jesse Williams, explained that Bear was unaware of the requirement to notify the authorities within three days of returning from Brazil. Williams also clarified that Bear’s NatWest card was blocked during the trip, prompting him to acquire cards from Wise and Revolut.

Williams stated, “He had to pay rent and living expenses and needed multiple accounts for security. While in Brazil, he lost his passport and contacted the British consulate for a replacement.”

Bear returned to the UK in April 2026 due to his father’s passing, as per Mr. Williams.

Bear admitted to the failures in complying with the sex offenders register notification requirements, including not reporting his foreign travel on January 17 last year and his return to the UK on April 27 this year. The charges related to the new passport and bank cards were dated January 20 and May 14, respectively. The registration requirements were set for a ten-year period during his 2023 conviction.

The previous charges against Bear included voyeurism and the unauthorized sharing of private intimate materials to cause distress, leading to his imprisonment.

Bear is scheduled to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on Thursday and at Thames Magistrates’ Court on August 14.
