Dominic Chinea, a prominent figure on the popular BBC series “The Repair Shop,” has recently made a tough decision due to his hectic schedule. Known for his expertise in metalwork, Dominic has been a fixture on the show for nine years.

The demands of his current filming commitments have left Dominic with little free time, causing him to delay a passion project involving the restoration of a Series 1 Land Rover. Despite his desire to personally handle the repairs, Dominic has opted to purchase a replacement part due to time constraints.

In a recent update shared on his YouTube channel, Dominic expressed his dedication to completing the Land Rover project, even amidst his busy schedule filming two television programs across different locations in the country. He assured his followers, who number around 180,000 on his channel, that he remains focused on getting the vehicle up and running soon.

Over the past five months, Dominic has dedicated whatever spare moments he can find to work on the Land Rover. However, the move from Kent to Cornwall with his wife Maria and their dog Wendy has presented additional challenges, as their new farmhouse requires significant maintenance.

Acknowledging the state of his workshop and home, which are in need of repairs, Dominic emphasized the ongoing obstacles he faces. Despite these setbacks, he remains committed to completing his projects, including the Series 1 Land Rover restoration, demonstrating his determination and passion for his craft.
