The latest study by Zoopla has uncovered the top residential areas in the UK that are ideal for single individuals, with one city standing out for its remarkably low average monthly mortgage payments of just £408.
According to the research, Sunderland emerges as the most budget-friendly city in England, where the average monthly mortgage expenses represent 17% of the typical monthly income.
In this city, a one or two-bedroom house comes at an average price of £106,700, aligning with the average earnings of a single person at £28,600 annually.
On the other hand, in London, Havering has been identified as the most affordable borough, with an average cost of £305,200 for a one or two-bedroom property, equivalent to around 7.3 times the average income of £41,600 for a single buyer.
Heading to Scotland, Aberdeen emerges as the most cost-effective location for single buyers, with average monthly mortgage payments of £438, based on an average property value of £114,700.
