James Middleton was taken to the hospital after collapsing close to the end of a half marathon.

The online fitness instructor gained fame from appearing on Survival of the Fittest in 2018 and now has a social media following of over 700,000, where he shares fitness tips.

Sharing the incident on Instagram, James mentioned that he fainted near the half marathon finish line and was immediately taken to the hospital for tests.

Describing the experience, he stated: “My half marathon didn’t go as planned. I found myself in the hospital, connected to a drip, after collapsing near the finish line due to exhaustion and a temperature of 107.”

In a caption, he elaborated on his memory loss during the incident and the medical procedures he underwent, including being treated for rhabdo, a condition where muscle breakdown releases proteins into the bloodstream.

Expressing gratitude for the medical team, he emphasized the importance of taking a break from intense physical activities and focusing on yoga.

Humorously, James mentioned that he learned not to push himself to the point of near-death for personal records in the future.

Currently residing in Nashville with his wife, James joyfully announced the birth of their child, reflecting on the transformative experience of parenthood.
