A father who had been reported missing was tragically discovered deceased inside a vehicle in Oldham. Christopher Neary, aged 58, went missing last Thursday after leaving his residence on Lees New Road in Oldham. His family suspected he was driving his silver Ford Focus at the time.
On Monday night, emergency services responded to a car that had veered off Lees New Road near Abbey Hills Road. Greater Manchester Police confirmed the discovery of Mr. Neary’s body in the vehicle. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the incident, and the Serious Collision Investigation Unit is conducting inquiries to determine the cause and timing of the collision.
The family of the deceased has requested privacy as they mourn their loss. Detective Inspector Clare Harrison from GMP’s Oldham district expressed condolences and emphasized the importance of gathering information to understand the events leading up to the tragedy.
