Authorities have confirmed the discovery of a woman’s body in a pool at Sandwell Valley Country Park today.

West Midlands Police stated that they are providing support to the woman’s family during this tragic incident. Following the woman’s disappearance in the water around 4:30 pm, extensive efforts were made by emergency services.

In a statement released by the police tonight, it was mentioned, “Specialized teams from the fire and rescue department entered the water and successfully retrieved the body.

“Unfortunately, despite all efforts, she could not be saved and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Our condolences go out to her family during this difficult time.

“At present, her death is not considered suspicious, and we will be in contact with the coroner.”
