In a distressing incident captured on video, a 12-year-old girl was seen fleeing her home in Perth, Western Australia, after her brother allegedly killed their mother. The girl, dressed in pajamas and a robe, was observed running through the streets shortly after authorities were called to the scene. Police have confirmed the mother’s death due to an alleged stabbing and have charged the 16-year-old brother with murder.
Detective Act Inspector Jessica Securo provided details of the tragic event, stating that the police responded to reports of a serious incident at a residence in Bentley. They discovered the deceased mother and the injured 12-year-old girl nearby. The teenage brother, who is in police custody, is said to pose no further threat to the community.
The girl, found 600 meters away from her home, ran along Albany Highway to escape. She is currently receiving treatment in the hospital. The police expressed sympathy for all those affected by the incident, emphasizing the importance of respecting the girl’s privacy during the investigation.
