The White House disclosed that JD Vance will not be joining Donald Trump’s representatives for upcoming discussions with Iran. Instead, Trump’s envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, are set to travel to Pakistan for renewed negotiations on Saturday, as confirmed by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt on Fox News. Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced his plans to visit Pakistan, Oman, and Russia to address bilateral and regional issues. Araghchi’s visit to Pakistan aims to facilitate a second round of ceasefire talks between the United States and Iran. The White House has not yet clarified if a U.S. delegation will accompany Araghchi in Pakistan. President Trump is delegating Witkoff and Kushner to continue the dialogue with Iran in Pakistan, with hopes of making progress towards a potential agreement. Although Vice President Vance will not be part of the delegation, Leavitt emphasized his ongoing deep involvement in the discussions.
