A woman has been captured on video during her arrest in connection with the death of her girlfriend, whom she allegedly dismembered and buried in their shared garden. The incident unfolded at Derby Crown Court, where jurors were informed that Anna Podedworna, a 40-year-old turkey butcher, stands accused of using a kitchen knife to cut up her partner, Izabela Zablocka, before concealing the remains in the backyard of their Normanton residence.

According to court proceedings, Izabela’s demise dates back to 2010, but her dismembered body was only unearthed in June of the previous year. Podedworna alerted authorities to the location of the body, revealing that it had been undisturbed for 15 years. A previously unreleased video shown in court depicted Podedworna being handcuffed and read her rights by law enforcement officers before being taken into custody.

Evidence presented to the jury indicated that Podedworna and Ms. Zablocka were in a romantic relationship when they immigrated to the UK from Poland and were employed at Cranberry Foods in Scropton, Derbyshire. The court was informed that Ms. Zablocka ceased communication with her family in August 2010. During her testimony, Podedworna recounted a tragic altercation where she claimed Ms. Zablocka turned violent towards her, leading to a struggle that resulted in the fatal injury.

After the incident, Podedworna confessed to burying Ms. Zablocka out of fear and desperation, expressing remorse for the harrowing events that transpired.
