Two individuals, a man and a woman, have been apprehended on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a deceased woman at a hotel in Liverpool. The incident unfolded at The White Star Line Hotel in central Liverpool, where authorities responded to a distress call from the North West Ambulance Service shortly after 3.20 am on Saturday.
According to reports from the Liverpool Echo, paramedics were alerted to a 40-year-old woman who had fallen ill. Tragically, the woman was declared dead at the scene, and her family has been notified. Police have classified the circumstances surrounding the woman’s demise as unexplained. A post mortem examination has been conducted to determine the cause of death, with the results pending a toxicology report.
In connection to the case, a 47-year-old man from Kirkby and a 34-year-old woman from Liverpool have been taken into custody on suspicion of murder. Additionally, a 31-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of aiding an offender. The trio has been conditionally released while investigations continue.
The presence of two police forensic vehicles outside The White Star Line Hotel was observed yesterday evening.
