Most of the latest WXCharts maps are vividly red, signaling the onset of hot weather. Metdesk meteorologists, the source of these maps, suggest that temperatures could peak at around 36C on Wednesday, August 12.
During this period, temperatures are expected to surpass 30C in many areas, including parts of the Midlands and northern England. Conversely, Scotland and Northern Ireland are likely to experience cooler conditions, with temperatures remaining in the low to mid-20s across various areas.
While the eastern regions will record the highest temperatures, Wales will also enjoy dry and sunny weather, albeit with cooler temperatures. Swansea, for instance, is expected to reach 26C or 27C.
Monday saw warm weather with a high of 33.5C recorded by the Met Office in Wisley, Surrey, as reported by the Express. However, rain is forecasted for Wednesday and Thursday, particularly affecting Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland.
A yellow weather warning has been issued for thunderstorms in various regions, including Angus, Perth and Kinross, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Moray, and Highland. The Met Office cautions that “Slow-moving heavy showers and thunderstorms may cause some disruption.”
According to WXCharts, temperatures exceeding 35C are anticipated in certain areas soon.
