Massie, hailing from Kentucky, highlighted that the files include a prominent figure from a foreign government and called on the Justice Department to rectify errors. Access to the unredacted files was granted to Congress members this week at a Department of Justice building in Washington, DC.
Representative Jamie Raskin, a Democrat from Maryland, who also reviewed the files, revealed the presence of previously undisclosed young victims, one as young as nine years old. The files mentioned 15-year-old, 14-year-old, and even 10-year-old girls, with one referencing a 9-year-old victim, prompting outrage among lawmakers.
The identities of six men, including a foreign official, were redacted in the initial release of the files. Massie suggested that these individuals could be implicated in the illegal activities documented. Khanna expressed bewilderment at the lack of explanation for the redactions.
Meanwhile, Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former girlfriend who is incarcerated for aiding in his crimes, declined to answer questions during a closed-door congressional hearing. Khanna called for her immediate transfer back to a high-security facility, emphasizing the severity of the situation.
The scandal surrounding Epstein’s associates has raised concerns about the British monarchy, with implications potentially jeopardizing its stability.
