“X Factor Star turned Influencer Charged with Attempted Murder”

Published on

A one-time contestant from X Factor, now a social media influencer, has been brought before court on charges of allegedly trying to kill another online creator following a dispute outside a nightclub.

Gabrielle Carrington, aged 29, was held in custody after a collision involving her car and three pedestrians, including Klaudia Zakrzewska, also known as ‘Klaudiaglam’ on Instagram, outside Inca show restaurant and bar in London’s Soho early Sunday morning. The Westminster Magistrates Court charged Carrington with offenses including attempted murder, grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving, and driving under the influence.

Reports indicate that Ms. Zakrzewska, in her 30s, is in critical condition in the hospital, with Anoush Chyche, a security worker in his 50s, sustaining severe injuries, and Latisha Armstrong, in her 30s, receiving minor wrist injuries during the incident.

Carrington faced the court dressed in a grey leisure suit, with a single female security guard by her side. The prosecutor stated an ongoing dispute between the parties involved and detailed the events leading to the alleged incident, emphasizing Carrington’s actions captured on CCTV.

The court documents revealed Carrington was over the legal alcohol limit at the time of her arrest. District Judge Nina Tempia ordered her to remain in custody due to concerns of flight risk and potential interference with witnesses. Carrington signaled a love heart gesture to her family and friends in the gallery before being led away.

Having gained fame through The X Factor in 2013, Carrington, originally from Manchester, transitioned into an influencer with a significant following on Instagram. The Metropolitan Police urged witnesses to come forward, emphasizing the importance of any information related to the incident.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities reassuring the public that the incident is not linked to terrorism. The police have discouraged the sharing of graphic content related to the incident to respect the victims and maintain the integrity of legal proceedings.
