Russia’s sole registered anti-war party leader has vowed to continue advocating for change within the country, despite facing escalating pressure from authorities, resulting in the party’s exclusion from the upcoming parliamentary elections. The Supreme Court’s decision to disqualify the post-Soviet liberal party Yabloko from the September vote was motivated by concerns from officials that the party’s stance on ending the ongoing conflict in Ukraine was resonating with the electorate.
