Marina Selim, a mother who was previously informed that she could not conceive due to early menopause, defied the odds and gave birth to triplets. Together with her husband Bishoy Salib, they welcomed non-identical triplets named Miracle, Levi, and Suriel on November 28 the previous year. Marina had been diagnosed with a condition indicating low chances of having children, leading to doubts about their ability to conceive.

After facing challenges in conceiving and being advised by doctors that natural conception was unlikely without assistance, Marina and Bishoy remained hopeful. Despite medical indications suggesting low fertility for Marina, the couple persevered in their desire to have children. Marina’s low anti-Müllerian hormone levels had initially cast doubt on her chances of conceiving, with specialists indicating that egg donation might be the only viable option. However, the couple, devout Coptic Orthodox Christians, were determined to believe in miracles and refused to consider egg donation as a solution.

Their persistence paid off when Marina’s pregnancy test revealed unexpected news – she was pregnant with triplets. The couple was overjoyed and considered the arrival of the triplets a miraculous event. The babies were born safely on November 28 at the Royal Sussex Hospital, leaving both the couple and medical professionals amazed at the unlikely outcome.

Despite the lack of a clear medical explanation for Marina’s successful pregnancy, the couple remained grateful for the blessing of their three healthy babies. Their story serves as a testament to their unwavering faith and belief in miracles.
