Television personality Fern Britton has revealed that participating in Strictly Come Dancing is something she would decline if given the chance to redo her life. Fern, 68, shared this insight during an episode of the White Wine Question Time podcast with host Kate Thornton. When asked about choices she would reverse, Fern initially touched upon her two divorces but then shifted focus to her involvement in Strictly Come Dancing.

As the former host of ITV’s This Morning, Fern expressed her lack of regret over her marriages to Phil Vickery and Clive Jones. However, she acknowledged that the impact on her children was a significant consideration. Reflecting on her time on the dance show, Fern stated, “Probably a no to Strictly, because it was exhausting. Not the dancing itself, but the accompanying stress and emotional toll were substantial. If given the chance, I would advise a young person on what to expect before making such a commitment.”

Fern competed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2012, paired with professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev. They were eliminated in the fifth week, with the series ultimately won by Louis Smith and Flavia Cacace. Following the show, Fern mentioned an incident where Artem was accused of using aggressive language during training sessions, a claim he later denied in an interview with the Daily Express, emphasizing his commitment to treating Fern with respect and care.
