A man in his 50s suffered severe burn injuries when his family home in Newry, Northern Ireland, was engulfed in flames after being targeted in an early morning petrol bomb attack that tragically claimed the life of their pet dog. The incident occurred in the Clonmore area on Armagh Road during the early hours of Wednesday, January 14th.

The suspected arson attack, involving a petrol bomb thrown through the living room window around 2:20 am, prompted a swift response from law enforcement and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service.
