A mother shared her near-death experience following a failed Brazilian Butt Lift surgery that resulted in a significant wound on her buttocks. Josephina Finch, seeking a more rounded figure, traveled to Spain for the procedure in October 2024, hoping for a safer outcome compared to stories she had heard about surgeries in Turkey. Despite spending approximately £6,000 on the BBL and implants, she fell ill a week after the painful procedure and returned to the clinic.

At the clinic, Josephina experienced fluid gushing out of a wound in her buttocks when a nurse pressed her cheeks together, exposing a hole from the incision. Discovering that her implants were infected, she had to wait eight additional days for the surgeon to return and remove them. Upon returning home after the removal, she began experiencing nerve pain in her leg.

Concerned about a potential blood clot, Josephina insisted on blood thinners from her doctor. Subsequent ultrasound confirmed her suspicion of a large blood clot in her leg. Experiencing sharp chest pains a day after taking the blood thinners, she rushed to the hospital, where doctors warned that the clot could be moving towards her lung, emphasizing that her timely request for blood thinners likely saved her life.
