In a chilling incident, a massive Siberian tiger was captured on CCTV devouring a dog until only bones remained after seizing the pet from its owner in a village near Hunchun, located in northeastern China. The footage shows the tiger prowling through the village at night, followed by a brave dog barking at the predator and chasing it along the snowy street.

The pet owner, in a subsequent scene, is seen tracking the tiger’s paw prints in the snow, marveling at the size of the animal. Sadly, the owner and villagers later discovered only a few scattered pieces of flesh and bone left of the pet.

Following the attack, authorities cautioned residents to exercise caution as winter conditions drive wild animals, including tigers, closer to human settlements due to food scarcity in the mountains. The affected village is situated near a tiger and leopard national park, where conservation efforts have led to an increased population of protected wildlife, heightening the chances of encounters in public areas.

Officials from the Chunhua Town government emphasized that the area is well-protected, but the abundance of tigers and leopards necessitates preventive measures to ensure the safety of villagers. They reassured that compensation procedures are in place in case of livestock predation to prevent any hardship on the community.

In a separate alarming incident, a grizzly bear attacked a group of primary school children and teachers in Bella Coola, Canada, leaving two critically injured and several others hurt. The school teacher reportedly bore the brunt of the attack, while children were exposed to bear spray during the struggle to repel the animal.

Residents were advised to stay indoors as authorities searched for the bear, and investigations into the November 2025 incident are ongoing.
