A pilot was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries after his plane crashed into a field. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene following reports of the light aircraft going down at 12:20 pm today in the vicinity of Masham, North Yorkshire.

The injured man was discovered at the crash site, and it is believed that he was the only person aboard the aircraft when it crashed. North Yorkshire Police confirmed the incident, stating that they received a report of the crash at 12:21 pm and have notified the Air Accident and Investigation Branch.

According to a spokesperson from the North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, crews from Leyburn, Thirsk, and Ripon responded to the incident involving the crashed light aircraft in the Masham area at 12:28 pm. Emergency services successfully extricated the pilot from the aircraft, and he was subsequently airlifted to the hospital for treatment.

Following the rescue operation, fire crews conducted hazard assessments and ensured the safety of the crash site.
