Newly released footage captures a terrifying incident where a gang set a house on fire, leading a mother and her daughter to jump out of a window for safety. The incident took place in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, resulting in severe burns for the victims.

Following a petrol bomb attack by the gang on the 31-year-old woman, she and her 13-year-old daughter had no choice but to escape through an upstairs window. The mother sustained 65% burns and remained in a coma for two months before surviving against the odds, albeit with life-altering injuries that necessitate ongoing medical care.

The teenage girl suffered burns to her right arm and leg in the December 16, 2021, blaze. Subsequently, after an 11-week trial at Nottingham Crown Court, 10 men were convicted in connection with the revenge attack, which stemmed from a fight earlier that day leaving one man hospitalized with stab wounds.

The court proceedings revealed that a confrontation involving Naveed Hussain, Bilal Ahmed, Kashif Ahmed, and Ali Abbas occurred in Longton, leading to Kashif Ahmed sustaining a stab wound to his shoulder. Later that night, a group of men arrived at the victims’ house, assaulting the mother and setting the property ablaze.

The victims managed to escape by jumping from an upstairs window, with the mother suffering additional injuries in the process. The perpetrators, including Shakil Uddin, Lukman Khan, Riyadh Iqbal, Muhammad Sufyaan-Shah, Tayyeb Majeed, Ali Abbas, Haris Mahmood, and Naveed Hussain, were all charged with various offenses related to the attack.

Staffordshire Police commended the extensive investigative efforts involving CCTV footage and digital evidence to ensure justice for the victims. Detective Constable Howard Davies emphasized the severity of the incident, stating it was a horrifying experience for the mother and daughter, and highlighted the commitment to holding all involved parties accountable.
