Jane Fonda recently revealed her one regret from her collaborations with the late Robert Redford. The iconic Hollywood duo co-starred in four films together, including the successful 2017 Netflix movie “Our Souls at Night.”

During the Oscars tribute to Robert, singer Barbara Streisand, who had worked with him in one film, paid homage to the legendary actor. However, Jane, aged 88, expressed disappointment that Barbara, 83, was chosen to honor Robert instead of her, given their close friendship and Jane’s admiration for him.

Jane playfully admitted on the Ellen DeGeneres show that her only regret from working with the charming leading man was that she wished their intimate scenes had lasted longer, wanting more time in bed with him. Reflecting on their romantic drama “Our Souls At Night,” Jane shared her desire for extended love scenes with Robert, emphasizing their on-screen chemistry over the years.

The veteran co-stars made a joint appearance at the 74th Venice Film Festival in 2017 to promote their final film together. Jane candidly expressed her enjoyment of filming intimate scenes with Robert, highlighting their strong on-screen connection.

Following Robert’s passing at the age of 89, the Oscars paid tribute to him through a touching speech delivered by Barbara Streisand. However, Jane expressed her frustration at not being asked to deliver the tribute, given her extensive collaboration with Robert over four films.

Remembering her time working with Robert, Jane humorously confessed that she had always been fond of him. She praised his exceptional acting skills, his values, and his significant contributions to the film industry, particularly in uplifting independent cinema.

Aside from their shared projects with Robert, Jane starred in “The Chase” (1966), “Barefoot in the Park” (1967), “The Electric Horseman” (1979), and “Our Souls at Night” (2017), while Barbara collaborated with Robert in “The Way We Were.” Barbara spoke highly of Robert, acknowledging his brilliance as an actor and their enjoyable on-screen dynamics, emphasizing his strong character both on and off the screen.
