A woman suspected of stalking Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham has been apprehended in Fort Wayne, Indiana, by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office. Michelle Dick, claiming to be Buckingham’s biological daughter, was taken into custody based on a warrant issued in Los Angeles following a series of incidents targeting the music icon. The 55-year-old faces multiple criminal charges in Los Angeles County, including allegedly throwing a substance at Buckingham during an encounter in Santa Monica on March 25, which resulted in no physical harm to the artist. Additionally, Dick is accused of making criminal threats against Buckingham, misdemeanor battery, assault with a deadly weapon involving a vehicle, and damaging Buckingham’s car in a separate incident on March 19.
Previously, Buckingham, 76, obtained a restraining order against Dick after enduring years of purported harassment. He detailed instances of Dick loitering outside his residence, incessant phone calls, threatening voicemails, and a false emergency call reporting gunshots within his home. Law enforcement intervened at one point, placing Buckingham in handcuffs based on Dick’s claims. Despite the restraining order, Dick allegedly continued to violate the legal restrictions.
Currently, Dick awaits extradition to California to face the charges against her. Buckingham, a renowned guitarist, songwriter, and producer, became famous for his work with Fleetwood Mac, joining the band in 1975 alongside Stevie Nicks. His contributions to the iconic album “Rumours” in 1977, which includes hits like “Go Your Own Way” and “The Chain,” solidified his status as a music legend. Buckingham’s solo career has also been successful, culminating in his induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 as a Fleetwood Mac member and in 2024 as a solo artist.
