Twin brothers in Magione, Italy, were tragically discovered deceased while holding each other after an electric shock incident. Francesco and Giacomo Fierloni, both 22 years old, were fatally electrocuted when they accidentally came into contact with high-voltage cables using a metal pole. Reports suggest that one of the brothers lost his life while attempting to save the other.

The siblings were training their hunting birds when a pigeon landed on cables carrying approximately 20,000 volts, roughly 10 meters above the ground. One of the twins used a carbon-fibre pole, commonly used in hunting, to try and coax the bird down. Unfortunately, he inadvertently touched the live wires, resulting in his immediate death. The other brother is believed to have rushed to help but met the same tragic fate.

Concerned when the brothers did not return home or answer their phones, their father, Giorgio, went out to search for them. Eventually, their location was pinpointed, and they were found lying together in tall grass beneath an embankment, locked in each other’s embrace.

Paramedics made efforts to revive the twins, who were just one month away from celebrating their 23rd birthdays. The town mayor, Massimo Lagetti, who knew the brothers personally, described them as exceptional young men known for their dedication and kindness. The grieving parents expressed that Francesco and Giacomo were their strength, present, and future, born and departed together, bonded beyond brotherhood.

An investigation is currently in progress to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
