Euphoria enthusiasts were moved to tears as HBO unveiled never-before-seen footage featuring the late actor Eric Dane. Known for his role as Cal Jacobs on the show, Dane tragically passed away in February at the age of 53 due to respiratory failure from motor neurone disease.
Despite his untimely death, Dane had already completed filming for the current season, ensuring his character’s presence in the series. He prominently appeared in Episode 3, which revolved around his on-screen son Nate’s wedding.
In a recent release, HBO Max shared exclusive behind-the-scenes content on YouTube, including a poignant interview with Dane. In the interview, Dane expressed that working on the show had been a profoundly rewarding experience, emphasizing the positive relationships he had built with his colleagues.
The video also captured Dane sharing light moments with his co-stars, including a playful reference to Stanley Kubrick’s film “The Shining.” Fans were touched by the footage, expressing their emotions in the comments section, remembering Dane’s talent and warm personality on set.
Euphoria season 3 continues to air on Sundays on HBO in the USA and on Mondays on HBO Max, Sky, and NOW in the UK.
