After a packed four-day schedule in the United States, King Charles and Queen Camilla have concluded their state visit. The royal couple participated in various events in Washington DC with President Trump before proceeding to New York and Virginia for additional engagements.

At the end of their whirlwind journey, King Charles headed to Bermuda for more royal duties, while Queen Camilla returned to the UK. Observers were surprised to see the Queen casually walking through an airport terminal with her security detail on either side as she made her way back to Britain.

Queen Camilla was spotted at Washington Dulles International Airport still wearing the same blue outfit she wore to bid farewell to the President and First Lady of the United States earlier that day.

A bystander captured the moment the Queen passed by and shared it on Instagram, noting her relaxed demeanor. The post garnered attention for the lack of commotion during her departure.

In contrast, King Charles’ departure was more grandiose, as he arrived at Joint Base Andrews military base in Maryland aboard President Trump’s helicopter, receiving an honor guard welcome.

Chief of Protocol at the US Ambassador Monica Crowley and UK Ambassador Christian Turner bid farewell to King Charles before he departed for Bermuda. The King was honored with a full armed forces cordon, red carpet, and music from the US Airforce Band.

During their state visit, Queen Camilla also received praise from President Trump at the White House departure ceremony. The two couples exchanged compliments and pleasantries before officially concluding the visit.

President Trump particularly commended Queen Camilla, expressing admiration for her composure and grace. He also conveyed his appreciation to the Queen and mentioned looking forward to future meetings and sending his regards to her grandchildren.
