Adele is rumored to be working on unexpected new music. The renowned singer, who last released music in 2021 and concluded her Las Vegas residency in 2024, is reportedly making a comeback.
In addition to her immense success as a UK singer, the 37-year-old Adele is venturing into acting with an upcoming role in the historical drama Cry To Heaven, alongside Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Hunter Schafer. The film is based on Anne Rice’s 1982 novel and centers on a conflict between castrated opera performers and Italian nobles in the 18th century.
Reportedly, Adele, a native of Tottenham, is also working on a song to complement her acting debut. Sources revealed that the film’s producers were eager to have the “world’s most famous singer” contribute to the project due to its opera theme.
While this move may not signal a long-term return to music for Adele, sources suggest she is shifting her focus towards acting. Balancing a career in film is seen as more family-friendly than the demands of touring for this mother of a 12-year-old son named Angelo, from her previous marriage with Simon Konecki.
During her final Las Vegas residency performance in November 2024, Adele expressed her preference for a more stable lifestyle with her son, hinting at a potential future expansion of her family. Engaged to Rich Paul since August 2024, Adele is contemplating the idea of becoming a mother again.
