“Convicted Child Killer Stabbed 25 Times by Notorious Inmates”

Published on

Newly released CCTV footage captures a disturbing moment where a convicted child killer appears apprehensive as three notorious murderers enter his prison cell. Kyle Bevan, 33, was serving time at HMP Wakefield, also known as “Monster Mansion,” for the brutal murder of his two-year-old stepdaughter when he was viciously attacked by fellow inmates.

In the video, Mark “The Iceman” Fellows, Lee Newell, and David Taylor, who are convicted killers, are seen stalking Bevan and entering his cell, where they proceeded to stab him 25 times. After the attack, they carefully arranged Bevan in bed to simulate sleep, concealing the crime until the next morning’s roll call, when Bevan was discovered lifeless, having been dead for hours.

Following a hearing at Leeds Crown Court, Fellows, 45, along with Taylor, 64, and Newell, 57, were given whole life orders for conspiring to kill Bevan. The trio targeted Bevan, who was serving a life sentence for the murder of Lola James, a two-year-old girl in Wales.

The Crown Prosecution Service released footage showing the murderers laughing and joking before the attack, with Fellows wearing blue plastic gloves. Fellows had earned nicknames like ‘The Iceman’ and ‘Wakefield Dexter’ from fellow inmates. Newell, already serving a life sentence for a previous murder, and Taylor, who confessed to another murder, were also involved in the chilling plot.

Prosecutors revealed that the men specifically targeted inmates, including sex offenders and those convicted of crimes against children, possibly seeking a transfer from HMP Wakefield. Searches of their cells uncovered items stained with Bevan’s blood, makeshift weapons, and a metal object with Bevan’s blood.

The jury found the trio guilty of murder, determining that they acted collectively with the intent to kill or cause severe harm to Bevan. During sentencing, Mrs. Justice McGowan described the brutal attack, highlighting the premeditated nature of the assault.

Chief Inspector James Entwistle of West Yorkshire Police condemned the attack as premeditated and brutal, emphasizing the disregard for life and safety rules in custody. The verdicts aim to hold these dangerous individuals accountable and ensure justice is served.
